Pot Hollow Schoolhouse Project Completed

Posted: December 10, 2024

We thank the following organizations for the grant awards that helped complete the schoolhouse project.

  • TCUP FOUNDATION $1000
  • DEPOT OUTLET GRANT $3000

These funds, along with many donations, helped finish the schoolhouse project. Some siding on the north, east and west exterior walls was replaced; a hole in the roof and one on the north side where the chimneys used to be were enclosed; windows were reglazed and caulked; the sills and frames painted; the exterior was scraped, primed and painted white, as schools were in the 1800s and early 1900s. Tollefson Construction of Mabel, Minnesota, and Tom’s Painting of Decorah, Iowa, were contracted for this work.

A future goal will be to replace or repair the windows.
